Back in 1997, I spent a few months in the beautiful city of Rethymno in the island of Crete, undergoing the compulsory military training that all conscripts undergo. Διαδήλωση συμπαράστασης στις μειονότητες οργανώθηκε το Σάββατο στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, μπροστά από το Οικουμενικό Πατριαρχείο με συνθήματα και πανό που τόνιζαν ότι «κανείς δεν θα μπορέσει να αγγίξει το Φανάρι και τον Πατριάρχη Βαρθολομαίο».
